The purpose of the article is to determine directions of the efficient development of family wineries under current conditions of European integration of the country. Research methods. In the research process the following scientific methods were used: abstract and logical (for theoretical generalization of scientific studies and substantiation of conclusions); calculation and construction method (for economic evaluation of the investment project of family wineries); comparison (for examining Ukrainian and European experiences of small business development in the winemaking industry); statistical methods (for evaluating the current state and problems of viniculture in Ukraine). Research results. The paper determines problems and prospects of small business in the winemaking industry. It investigates organizational economic aspects of the development of family wineries in Ukraine. The research represents an analysis conducted on the dynamics and structure of producing dry and sweet wines exemplified by the first family winery named “Kurin”. Using calculations of an investment project “Family winery”, we developed practical recommendations on launching business in this area. The study substantiates a necessity to maintain competitiveness of small viniculture business under conditions of Ukraine’s integration into the world economic space. Elements of scientific novelty. For the first time the study offers directions to develop business of winemaking industry on basis of family wineries. It proves the efficiency of this type of activity using small farms as an example. Practical significance. The suggested measures on organizing an enterprise “Family winery” can be implemented into practical activity of wine-making home businesses and farms. Tabl.: 4. Figs.:2. Refs.:16.
